Magdi is a legal jurist and a senior member of our Dispute Resolution Group. He is a retired member of the Sudanese judiciary where he was a judge.
During his tenure in Oman, Magdi has contributed to and/or supervised the drafting of a host of Omani Royal Decrees and regulations. In that regard, he has typically represented the Omani government’s interests in the financial service sector. He has also advises domestic and international financial services firms, including commercial banks, investment banks, private equity, investment managers and advisers, on a wide array of issues under the Sultanate of Oman’s banking laws
Magdi has extensive experience with bank regulatory, transactional, compliance, supervisory, enforcement, legislative, and policy issues and matters, and his practice currently focuses on advising public institutions, banks and insurance companies on corporate and product-related issues in the financial services sector.
